Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins are re-signing DE Andre Branch to a long-term contract.
- Rapoport adds that Branch receives a three-year contract worth $27 million.
Last night, Jason Cole reported that the market for Branch was “very strong” and it’s possible he could secure an annual salary between $7-$9 million per year, so it will be interesting to see the financial figures of this deal.
Branch, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Jaguars before signing a one-year, $3 million contract with the Dolphins in March of last year.
In 2016, Branch appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 49 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass defense.
We had him featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
