According to Jason Cole, the market for Dolphins free agent DE Andre Branch has been “very strong” and it’s possible he could secure an annual salary between $7-$9 million per year.
The Dolphins are reportedly interested in re-signing Branch, but it was clear that they could be priced out once he began meeting with teams. At $7-9 million per year, it’s likely the Dolphins would look elsewhere for a pass-rusher.
Branch, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Jaguars before signing a one-year, $3 million contract with the Dolphins in March of last year.
In 2016, Branch appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 49 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a pass defense.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
